Red Letters?

During my personal Bible study this morning, I came across a question totally unrelated to my study in Romans. Why is it that the words of Christ are in red, if you have a red-lettered Bible, but the words of the Father or of the Spirit are not? Why do we isolate God the Son's words in red but not those of God the Father and God the Spirit when in fact they are all one. What God the Son speaks is the same for the Father and Spirit. What God the Father speaks is the same for the Son and the Spirit, and what God the Spirit speaks is the same for the Father and the Son. So, why aren't all of them in red? Why even have any in red? I know this is a silly question, but I honestly have no clue as to why this is. What do you guys think or, better yet, know?

I don't know, but I think we should have a really pointless arguement over it.

Why you gotta diss Rickshaw Rally? What did it ever do to you? I don't have a clue about it. But, I do know a rickshaw is found in China, which is communist. The color of China communism is red. My theory is that they are trying to promote that either Jesus was a communist or something like that.

oddly enough... i was listening to the pastor of the Woodruff Road Presbyterian Church in Greenville (SC) on the way to/from (I don't remember which) church yesterday morning. he argued that if Jesus' words are in red, all the words of the Bible should be in red because the Bible in its entirety is the word of God.

Good point Dave. 2 Timothy 3:16 says, "All Scripture is inspired by God" All being everything from Genesis to Revelation.

the whole rickshaw thing is that lifeway, after many complaints, failed to remove the theme of the rickshaw vbs, due to the fact that vbs material is the highest grossing product for lifeway...they continued with a theme that is reacially profiling and this is even after people had complained about that too...just not very christian towards the whole thing they were(yoda speak)

ohhhh....well. I didn't know it was offensive to talk about rickshaws in the church. Hey Wes, you might not want to have those free rickshaw rides anymore cause you might do some unintentional racial profiling, which appears to be bad.

I know, I would hate to theme a restaraunt using actual items used/created by the Chinese in both past and present. I know I would be EXTREMELY offended if a church in China had VBS (do they have VBS in China?) with the theme "The American Car Race".:) It blows my mind how people cry out for diversity and cultural celebration in this country, and when we actually make an attempt at bringing our cultures together, those same people say that it is racial profiling. On a related note, if you want to see a great movie about racial profiling and the like, go see "Crash". Although there was quite a bit of foul language, it was a great movie.

miond these are southern baptists who made the compliants and southern baptists who did not fix the problem...it is not kind to sterotype chinese people to hauling rickshaws around whioch was a major theme. the issue i think is what of the young chinese looking children who attend this church event nad find themselves at the brunt end of references and questions posed by the other young(and i emphasize young) kids who do not know the issues of culture integration and social learning...instead we should enstill stronger values not stereotypical theme...it was a mistake on behaf of lifeway and a mistake on behalf of the churches that used the material.

maybe it was wrong, i dunno. what i do know is that the people of China use rickshaws daily, no joke. It wouldn't be stereotypical of anyone, it would be truthful though prolly not politically correct. This is finally turing into the pointless arugment Wes wanted...LOL.
